Water Management Tips
- Water in the late evening hours or, ideally, early in the morning. before the sun comes up. When the weather is hot and dry, mid-day watering wastes water due to excessive evaporation.
- Water infrequently but thoroughly. Watering to a depth of 4-6" will encourage deeper, healthier root development and allow the turf to go without water for longer periods of time.
- Watering your lawn in two short cycles is better than one long cycle. By splitting your watering time in half and by repeating it again about 1 hour later, you will reduce water runoff and be watering more deeply.
Thank You! We thought we were doomed to live with old juniper shrubs forever. What a dramatic difference your colorful new plantings have made in our landscaping.
