Keep Your Trees in Tip-top Shape with Serpico’s Tree Services.
They add comfort and ambiance to your property, offer visual variety as they change with the seasons, and are some of the most expensive elements in your landscaping budget. So the question is: Are you making the most of your trees?
And the next question: why aren’t you partnering with Serpico Landscaping to take the best care of them?
It All Starts with Our Master Tree Plan.
At Serpico, caring for your trees begins by getting to know them, and the part they play in your overall landscaping. We start the process by coming out and talking to you about your property, your concerns, and your wishes. Then we inspect the grounds and make the observations and recommendations necessary to achieve a beautiful, healthy urban forest.
Your Trees Deserve Our Experts
When it comes to your trees, only expert care will do, and with Serpico, you don’t have to worry about the caliber of our representatives. You get on-staff, Certified Arborist teams who make tree diagnoses on ways to improve and sustain tree health, reduce insurance risks, and ensure safety of people, pets and property. It’s all part of one ecosystem, as integrated with your landscaping and water delivery systems, which Serpico Landscaping continually strives to maintain and improve.
How We Keep Track of Your Trees’ Health
In time, as we get to know your special urban forest we are able to create a vision and plan for the long term success of your trees. If a documented, detailed plan is what you are looking for, our Tree Management Plan (TMP) will tag each tree with a number, chart all trees on a site map, and make health and recommendation notes for needed work. These observations become the foundations of the tree work proposals we will provide you every year. We also keep the TMP updated with the most current data recorded. When used in tandem with Serpico’s other planning tools, the results are guaranteed to be beautiful, healthy trees with reduced emergency-related expenses.
Serpico Cares for You and Your Trees in Many Ways
Deep Root Hydration and Fertilization
Deep root hydration promotes watering and feeding the subsoil, enabling water and nutrients to be available for the tree to find, by growing its roots. This area on the ground—where leaf-water falls when it rains—is called the drip line.
Serpico Landscaping’s Tree Care division will focus your tree’s watering so that the outer edge of the drip line circle gets the most water and nutrients. There are fine roots here waiting to receive water and nitrogen-fixing nodules. Those roots think it’s rain and composted bio-food. Roots absorb water and nutrients through their ends/tips which are as a rule of thumb directly under the drip line.
Expert Tree Pruning for the Bay Area
All major tree cutbacks are done in natural-looking ways for controlled, continued growth. A stronger, more vibrant tree is always our goal.
Parking lots, high-traffic common areas, and entrance ways all can have trees near telephone wires or cables or can be too close to buildings or structures or inhibit light for plant growth. For major thoroughfares—we prune, chip and clear tree branches and limbs—so as to improve truck and vehicular clearance heights around egress or building entrance ways. We do this in a strategic way for improved safety and better lines-of-sight for drivers and pedestrians.
White Glove Tree Removal
Serpico’s Tree Care division has on-staff experts who supervise tree removal in even the tightest of spaces. When you have tree roots lifting foundations or hardscaping—rely on us for minimal damage to surrounding plants, trees, or structures.
